Eagledale

Eagledale is on the far eastern side of the greater Eagle Harbor community, nearly crossing over into Bill Point. Similar to residents in Eagle Harbor, many Eagledale locals enjoy spending their free time out on the water or at Eagledale Park. This park sits on nearly 7 acres that previously served as a missile site during the Cold War. Now locals take advantage of its pottery studio and workshop, a tennis court, playground, picnic area, sports court, sand volleyball court, and even a labyrinth (loved by kids and adults alike). For dog owners, the park also offers an off-leash dog area. From the upper area of the park, visitors can see Mount Raininer. Because it is so close to all three, residents of Eagledale also enjoy the offerings of Eagle Harbor, Bill Point, Winslow, and Lynnwood Center (see our articles on these areas for more information). One unique feature of Eagledale that is sometimes hard to come by in other, more populated parts of the island, is the land space—most homes here are more spread out and have large yards. So, if you are someone who hopes to have a little more personal space between you and your neighbor, but still enjoys an active social life, Eagledale is a great place to look for your future home. Furthermore, home prices here, (as is the case with all of Eagle Harbor) tend to be impressively affordable. You can find an over 3,000 square foot home, sometimes with nearly an acre of land, and possibly a few views for under $600,000.
