Question 1: I saw a vacant home with a notice taped inside the window. Is it for sale?
Answer 1: My experience working for Asset Management Companies is that the home has gone through Foreclosure. They hire me as their Listing Broker, have me post a notice in the window that ‘this property has been foreclosed on; please contact our Listing Broker for further questions’. Depending upon the nature of the circumstances, if there is personal property left inside or if the prior owners are still living there or there are tenants occupying the premises, there will be different time periods that may have to be satisfied before the home can actually be listed for sale on the MLS. Go ahead and call the Broker direct to see what time frame they have for that particular home, or call your favorite Real Estate Broker for Buyer Representation to purchase when it comes up for sale. Got Questions? I’m always happy to share my expertise with you.
*Outcomes may vary, please seek legal advice if you are renting or living or have left personal property in a Foreclosed home.
